Avery Maternity Shoot

This was my first maternity shoot and boy, was it a special one. This couple has played such significant roles in the course of my life ever since I was fifteen years old. That’s almost ten whole years. I met them when they were just dating, got to be there to capture their engagement, attended their wedding, celebrated them on their first anniversary, and now am photographing the beginning of their parenthood journey.

I’ve often reflected on how they’ve been with me through all the ups and downs of graduating high school, beginning and finishing my college career, entering adulthood on wobbly legs. They’ve been at my side in all of it, even the really silly choices I made as a teenager. But, I’ve also had the privilege to be at their side, watching them grow as people. Together, we’ve experienced so many major milestones.

I’m beyond lucky to have them first as mentors and now friends that have become family. And I’m so excited to help them welcome little baby Avery into the world!
