Emilynn & Tom

In the heart of downtown Denver, there’s a hotel that I’ve always wanted to shoot at. The Brown Palace is one of Denver’s oldest running hotels and it’s famous for its high tea parties and beautiful architecture. When I was in my early college days, a friend and I ran around the halls, taking photos with our phones, and I imagined just how magical it would be if I had the chance to bring my actual camera.

The minute Emilynn and Tom sent me inspo pictures for this shoot, I knew The Brown Palace was the perfect spot. AND WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DREAM IT WAS!!!! This building is so freaking gorgeous, I can’t get over it. And these two!!!!! Are you kidding? I MEAN SERIOUSLY.

This was another special shoot for me. Although I think at this point all my shoots are special. It’s just such an honor to share in these moments. Anyway, Emilynn and I have known each other since high school. We’ve been through some of our toughest seasons together. We’ve gone through all the ups and downs in relationships and silly boys, dreaming of the day that we would find our one. I know Emilynn’s story so deeply and to see and know the man who’s captured her heart is so fun. Tom is sweet and funny and I think the best part of the whole shoot (besides the place) was watching both of them feel so comfortable with each other. Emilynn and Tom are the textbook definition of unabashedly being yourself with your best friend.

I’m so thankful for how willing they were, even when I made them run out into the middle of the street (at a red light, don’t worry). Wow, wow, wow. This shoot was so fun and definitely one of my favorites.
